Razor scooter plus chainsaw engine

Old video of me driving a chainsaw engine powered Razor scooter I made in high school. No brakes just a giant McCulloch MAC 10 chainsaw engine bolted to the back. Top speed on flat ground is roughly 20-25 mph depending on who is driving it. here are a few pics of it. mywebpage.netscape.com mywebpage.netscape.com mywebpage.netscape.com

@stevensj13 There was no chain. The clutch sat right on the top of the wheel and just used friction to get the wheel moving. There were a couple major problems with this design though. 1) the clutch gets very hot and would destroy wheels quickly. 2) When the wheel would wear down you would have to adjust the position of the motor to keep enough preload on the top of the wheel to create enough friction to move, otherwise it would slip and wear the wheel out even faster.

How did you do this? I mean, I am trying to do the same thing, how did you attach the chainsaw clutch to the chain for the wheel?

i dont think that website works anymore that I had them on. the crankcase cracked on the engine so it wont stay attached to the frame anymore. it couldnt handle the vibration even though I had rubber mounts on it.

and 25 mph on that scooter felt like 100 haha. it was extremely unstable.
